This year, the Mike Brown Group donated time, money, and resources to many different Treasure Valley non-profits. Collectively, our team volunteered hundreds of hours to a variety of organizations, and, in case you missed it, our newly founded Together We Give Foundation (TWG) granted five charities here in the valley $100,000 to help further their causes in supporting the community.
Let’s take a look back at some of the organizations we’ve supported in 2020.
Ronald McDonald House
Prior to COVID, our team regularly prepared meals for the families that stayed at the house. We’re hoping as the pandemic subsides, we’ll be able to return to providing a hearty homecooked meal at the local house. The Ronald McDonald House also received a $50,000 grant from the Together We Give Foundation.
The Boise Bicycle Project (BBP)
Members of our team volunteered to help giveaway bikes during their annual kids’ bike giveaway. Additionally, the BBP was awarded a $5,000 grant from TWG.
Idaho Youth Ranch
The Idaho Youth Ranch was awarded a $5,000 grant by TWG.
Life’s Kitchen
Life’s Kitchen was awarded a $20,000 grant by TWG.
Boise Angels
Boise Angels was awarded a $20,000 grant by TWG.
Idaho Foodbank
Members of the team volunteered at the foodbank, preparing meal boxes for people needing food.
Idaho Shakespeare Festival
Members of the team volunteered their time to help deliver meals to sponsors and supporters of the organization as part of their annual gala. Due to COVID, the event was held virtually, and volunteers collectively drove hundreds of miles delivering meals.
The Women’s and Children’s Alliance (WCA)
Every year, the Mike Brown Group participates in the organization’s “Giving Tree,” buying gifts for families supported by the WCA.
Looking toward 2021 and beyond, the Mike Brown Group is going to continue its support of organizations that promote and foster our Treasure Valley community. We expect to continue our growth and ability to give back and encourage others to get involved as well.
